Beach Club Season's Last Dance: Ocean Club and Nikki Beach Close October in Style
Ocean Club Marbella closes its season on 3 October and Nikki Beach follows on the 11th — the last dance of the beach club season against the backdrop of Puerto Banús.
October is the month the Costa del Sol's beach club season reaches its last dance — and this year the closing weekends land with particular style.
Ocean Club Marbella, the coast's original beach club around its landmark saltwater pool, holds its 2026 Closing Party on Saturday 3 October, an event that doubles as the send-off for the Ocean Club World Tour. Further along the coast, Nikki Beach Marbella has confirmed 11 October as its final day of the 2026 season, closing with the annual Endless Summer celebration from midday into the evening.
The Marina Behind the Season
The backdrop for it all remains Puerto Banús, the marina built by property developer José Banús and inaugurated in May 1970. More than five decades on, its 915 berths across some fifteen hectares — with moorings for vessels up to fifty metres — still define the visual grammar of luxury on the western Costa del Sol, and October is among the best months to enjoy the quays: warm sea, thinner summer crowds, and the superyacht season's final weeks before the fleet disperses to winter itineraries.
After the Beach Clubs: The Autumn Calendar
The closings do not end the coast's social season — they hand it over. From mid-October, the premium calendar rotates to golf mornings, starred dinners and the Marbella and Puente Romano hotel terraces that anchor the Golden Mile through the winter. For second-home owners on the coast, the season's rhythm is precisely the point: the beach club chapter ends, and the autumn chapter is already full.
Reservations for both closing weekends are reported to be strong — as they traditionally are — with Nikki Beach's Endless Summer expected to draw its customary full-house crowd.
