Estepona Celebrates British Day on the Seafront This Week
Estepona's coastal promenade transforms this weekend to celebrate the long-standing ties of its international community.
A Celebration of Community Heritage
Estepona's coastal promenade is set to welcome hundreds of visitors this weekend as the town hosts its annual British Day festival on Saturday 26 September. Organised along the bustling beachfront, the gathering shines a spotlight on the deep cultural and social integration of the English-speaking expat community living along the western Costa del Sol.
The celebration has grown into one of the late-September highlights on the municipal calendar, serving as an open meeting ground for both Spanish residents and international locals who have made the town their permanent home.
Stalls, Music and Family Entertainment
Kicking off in the morning and running throughout Saturday afternoon, the event will feature traditional British culinary specialities, artisan market stalls, and informative stands run by regional voluntary associations and animal charities. Live musical performances ranging from classic rock covers to acoustic sets will take place on an outdoor stage set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean.
In addition to entertainment, community liaison groups will be on hand to offer guidance on local civic involvement, language exchange schemes, and town hall services tailored to foreign residents.
What You Need to Know
The festivities will centre along Estepona’s Paseo Marítimo, easily accessible on foot from the marina and the town centre. Admission is completely free, with food and drink stalls opening from 11:00 am. Public underground parking is available beneath the promenade and adjacent to Avenida España, though visitors are encouraged to arrive early to secure spaces before peak midday crowds gather.
