Marbella Housing Ballot: 25 Golden Mile Properties Available
Marbella Town Hall has confirmed registrations will close on 1 October for a municipal ballot offering 25 affordable homes along the iconic Golden Mile.
Affordable Options on Prime Coastal Turf
In a landmark local housing initiative, Marbella Town Hall is completing arrangements to allocate 25 newly created affordable municipal residences on the city's prestigious Golden Mile. Registration for the municipal lottery remains open until 1 October, giving eligible local families and workers a narrow window to submit their applications through official civic channels.
Securing affordable residential space within Marbella has become increasingly difficult amid sustained real-estate pressure, making public developments within prime postcodes particularly notable. The allocation will be decided via an open public draw before the end of the year to guarantee fairness and transparency.
Prioritising Young Local Residents
To help stem the outward migration of young talent from the municipality, town officials confirmed that 50 per cent of the properties in the scheme will be exclusively reserved for applicants under the age of 35. The initiative seeks to provide attainable footholds for young professionals and young families priced out of the traditional coastal rental and purchase markets.
The remaining allocation will be drawn among qualified local residents meeting standard municipal housing registry conditions. The administration confirmed that the development forms part of a wider policy to weave subsidised housing into core urban districts rather than pushing residents out into distant commuter outskirts.
How Residents Can Participate
Interested candidates who are officially registered on the municipal padrón must verify their listing on the Marbella municipal housing registry before the upcoming deadline. Following document validation over the coming weeks, the town hall will publish the confirmed list of eligible entrants before hosting the public lottery draw before Christmas.
