San Pedro Alcántara Sets October Feria Line-Up with Major Concerts and Fair
San Pedro Alcántara has confirmed its full autumn feria programme running from 13 to 19 October, featuring free headliner concerts, traditional parades, and family attractions.
The town of San Pedro Alcántara is preparing for its biggest cultural week of the autumn as municipal coordinators confirm the dates and entertainment roster for the annual Feria de San Pedro Alcántara 2026. Scheduled to run from Tuesday 13 October to Monday 19 October, the week-long fiesta will take over the purpose-built fairgrounds near the southern edge of town, marking the customary finale to the Western Costa del Sol's summer and autumn festival calendar.
Opening Parade and Family Attractions
Festivities begin on the evening of 13 October with the traditional opening parade of gigantes y cabezudos through the town centre, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the festival arch and an opening fireworks display at midnight. Organisers have earmarked Wednesday 14 October as Children's Day, introducing reduced ride fares of €2.50 to €3.50 across the fairground from 19:00 onwards. To accommodate neurodivergent children and adults sensitive to noise, dedicated quiet periods will run without music or sirens during the early evening hours on both Wednesday and Friday.
Free Big-Ticket Concerts on the Main Stage
Live entertainment remains the centrepiece of the fair, with all headline municipal concerts open to the public without entry charges. Veteran Spanish electronic pop outfit OBK will share the top billing on Friday 16 October alongside pop-rock favourites Modestia Aparte, kicking off performances at 23:00. Acclaimed singer Pasión Vega takes the stage on Saturday 17 October at 21:00, delivering her trademark blend of copla and Andalusian song, before pop-flamenco icons Camela deliver the grand musical finale on Sunday evening, 18 October, at 23:00.
Equestrian Parades and Day-Fair Traditions
The traditional Feria de Día will open daily from 13:00, bringing food stalls, churro vendors, and casetas alive across the grounds. Wednesday 14 October hosts the town's Día del Mayor with organised lunches for senior residents, accompanied by an open invitation for residents and visitors to don traditional Andalusian dress. Equine displays will feature prominently from Wednesday through Saturday afternoon, culminating in Monday's concurso de enjaezamiento, where horses and carriages parade through the arena decked in intricate historical harnesses and embroidery.
Getting to the Grounds and Parking Access
With heavy visitor traffic anticipated across the western district, the town hall is operating continuous complimentary shuttle buses linking the central San Pedro Boulevard and local church squares directly to the fair precinct. A dedicated parking facility for roughly 1,200 vehicles has been laid out next to the main bypass, connected by a lit pedestrian underpass to ensure safe access away from arterial traffic.
