Malaga International Jazz Festival Unveils High-Profile Autumn 2026 Lineup
World-class musicians and touring jazz virtuosos will headline iconic historic venues across Malaga this November.
Malaga is preparing for its annual cultural centrepiece as organisers revealed the official schedule for the Malaga International Jazz Festival, bringing an array of global musical talent to the Costa del Sol throughout November 2026. Taking over the venerable Teatro Cervantes, the multi-day showcase continues its multi-decade tradition of drawing Grammy-winning performers, progressive ensembles, and European virtuosos to the port city.
World-Class Headliners at Teatro Cervantes
The festival line-up features an ambitious mix of classic acoustic mastery and crossover contemporary sounds. Headlining evenings will see celebrated American and international jazz instrumentalists take to the historic stage, followed by late-night jam sessions spilling into surrounding cultural clubs. Dedicated showcase nights are also reserved for Andalusian flamenco-jazz fusions, celebrating the region's distinctive interpretation of the genre alongside established transatlantic traditions.
Citywide Fringe and Open-Air Performances
Beyond ticketed indoor performances at Teatro Cervantes and Teatro Echegaray, the municipality is expanding its programme of free open-air shows. Plazas across the old historic centre, including the open spaces around Plaza de la Merced and Calle Larios, will host daytime brass bands and youth conservatory ensembles on weekends. For visitors and residents, box offices have opened both online and at theatre counters, with multi-concert passes available ahead of what hoteliers anticipate will be a bustling cultural autumn.
